Helping Businesses Win Contracts in the Public Sector
This site is designed to help businesses across the UK navigate the public sector. Our aim is to provide you with the essential information to help you find tender opportunities, master tendering and bid writing and ultimately win public sector contracts.
HOW CAN I WIN A PUBLIC SECTOR CONTRACT?
Whether you're new to public sector tendering or have been struggling to get your foot in the door and win a council contract, you should always approach tender bid writing methodically and pay attention to the requirements and specification of the buyer. By clearly stating how you meet these requirements and providing evidence in the form of statistics, previous contract examples and policies and procedures that you have in place, you will inevitably improve your tender score. Here at Frameworker we've been bid writing for clients across a range of sectors including social care, construction, IT and digital and professional services. However, we always approach tenders in the same way. Read the specification, match the requirements listed to the quality questions asked, and then write your response addressing these requirements.

NEW TO TENDERING?
Getting into tendering for public sector contracts for the first time can a minefield. With a mountain of process and bureaucracy surrounding public procurement, it’s often difficult to know where to find tenders, how to bid and, generally, where to begin.
If you’re brand new to tendering, and don’t know where to start, this handy roadmap should help. Here, we walk you through the major steps, and the services we offer, to help get you bidding on council contracts.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
If you want to win a public sector contract then you will have to compete for it. Council's will publish tender opportunities online, all you need to do is go for it.
Tender writing is a skill, but it is a learnable skill. You don't need a team of tender writers to win the contract. All you need to know is where to look, your own business and what your buyer wants. There is a formula to tender writing and you can learn it and tailor your tenders to meet the needs of your buyers.
WHO AM I?
I was the buyer. I wrote the tenders, I designed the questions and I evaluated supplier responses.
I am a specialist procurement professional with a great deal of experience working for local authorities within the UK. With hundreds of examples of competing and awarding public contracts, I know what differentiates great tender writing from the rest. You can find out more on our about us page.
